AI Platform for Business Process Automation

The Challenge

An automation startup needed a functional proof of concept for a scalable AI platform that automates business processes. The architecture had to be designed for scalability from the start and flexibly integrate various AI models. At the same time, the POC needed to be ready quickly enough to convince investors.

Our Approach

We built the POC using Directus as the backend, Next.js for the frontend, and the Vercel AI SDK for AI integration. The architecture was designed modularly so new AI workflows could be added easily. Special focus was placed on a clean architectural concept enabling the transition to a full production version.

The Results

The functional POC successfully demonstrated over five different AI workflows and served as the foundation for the full platform version. The modular architecture enabled rapid expansion with new automation scenarios and proved itself as a solid basis for continued product development.
