Accessible Financial Services Platform
B2B2C financial services platform with senior-friendly UX and WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance.
The Challenge
A financial services startup was building a B2B2C platform targeting a demographic that most fintech products overlook: users aged 60 and above. The product needed to deliver complex financial functionality through an interface that was genuinely intuitive for seniors - not just technically accessible, but designed from the ground up for clarity and ease of use.
Our Approach
As Lead Engineer for frontend and platform architecture, we built the user experience around WCAG 2.1 compliance from day one. Every interaction pattern was validated against accessibility standards: high-contrast visuals, generous touch targets, clear navigation hierarchies, and predictable layouts that reduced cognitive load.
The platform architecture supported a B2B2C model where partner organizations could onboard their customers seamlessly. We focused on performance and reliability, ensuring the interface remained responsive regardless of device capability or network conditions.
The Results
The platform launched within 12 months, successfully serving a 60+ user demographic that had been underserved by existing financial tools. Full WCAG 2.1 compliance was achieved across all user-facing surfaces, and the accessible-first approach proved to be a genuine differentiator in the market - driving partner adoption and user satisfaction.
